About the instructor

Olga Davydova is a multiple Russian champion and world record holder in freediving, an instructor with over 10 years of freediving teaching experience, a student of Natalia Molchanova, a Hatha yoga teacher and yoga therapist, and PhD in biochemistry.

For me, freediving started as a kind of therapy. Nothing helps cope with stress like relaxation and immersion in a new environment — water. But therapy will only work if you have a good guide to this other universe, where different creatures live, where pressure and visibility are different, where laws apply that we haven’t thought about since school physics. Olga taught me not to fear the depths and to understand my body. She was patient and persistent, attentive to details, and always (always!) calm and kind. Thanks to this, the whole learning process truly felt like psychotherapy sessions.
It’s also worth mentioning that, to me, freediving without yoga doesn’t really exist. Almost everything that needs to be worked on in freediving is done through yoga. And it’s a great fortune when the yoga instructor and the freediving instructor are the same person.

WHERE IS THE COURSE HELD?

Dahab is the perfect place for deep-water diving.
You can dive here year-round: the water temperature even in the coldest winter months does not drop below 22 degrees Celsius.
Blue Hole is one of the most famous diving and freediving spots in the world. It is a natural underwater sinkhole about 100 meters deep — from the surface, you can see a picturesque coral reef.
What makes this place unique is that the deep water is right next to the shore.
At about 50 meters depth from the surface, the coral wall on the sea side forms an arched opening — the famous Blue Hole Arch.
