House Rules of The Dox
Dear guests, I’m happy to welcome you to my home!
I strive to maintain the most comfortable living conditions and hope your stay here will leave you with only pleasant memories.
To avoid any misunderstandings, let’s agree on some house rules based on mutual respect. Here are a few important and easy-to-follow points that I kindly ask you to observe:
  • No parties or loud events; please keep quiet from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and if possible, maintain calm during the rest of the day as well. Remember, your neighbors may be working or resting after various physical activities (for example, freedivers take daytime naps as part of their training!).
  • No smoking inside the studios or house. You can always go out to the balcony or the roof, and please use ashtrays for cigarette butts.
  • Please conserve water. Remember, we are in a desert!
  • Hot water is supplied by a storage heating system. So if you shower for half an hour, your neighbors might run out of hot water.
  • Please conserve electricity: when using the air conditioner, keep windows and doors closed — cooling the entire universe won’t work.
  • When leaving the house, check that you’ve turned off electricity, water, and gas.
  • Turn off lights and air conditioning, and make sure you haven’t left the gas stove on or taps running. If you notice any plumbing or sewage issues (like a dripping faucet, running toilet, or blockage), please inform me immediately.
  • Do not feed the stray cats!
  • No matter how cute they are. Once you start feeding them, their numbers will multiply exponentially. As a result, instead of a peaceful night’s sleep, you’ll be treated to very loud cat disputes.
